Based in North Shields and covering Newcastle and surrounding areas Coast Carpets, is a small independent carpet specialist. It’s owned and run by Paul Keddy, who has over 30 years’ experience in the carpet trade.

Paul now operates a Showroom and a home selection service where effectively the showroom comes to you. Alternatively you can also arrange an appointment to view roll stock and roll end remnants at the small warehouse, which is just up from the Fish Quay at North Shields.

You’ll get a better deal with Coast Carpets than going to one of the bigger stores on the retail parks or on big industrial estates.

Track record

Paul worked for two of the North East’s top specialist carpet shops in the 90’s & 00’s, Regnart Carpets/Carpet King in Gosforth and Sunderland Carpet Centre in Fulwell, as well as a Carpet Claims Inspector, assessing and valuing insurance claims on behalf of the big insurance companies.

He then worked tirelessly for almost a decade, working countless hours dedicating his time and life to become the owner and founder of Carpet Studio at Four Lane Ends in Benton.
